I love the old version of Candy Land and so was excited to purchase it for my daughter. She gets confused and moves her player in the wrong direction. My daughter knows her colors and would be able to play with ease if the board wasn't so 'busy '. The redesigned style of this game board makes it hard to see the path you need to keep the game pieces on. Received this as a gift for my three-year-old. not happy at all with this 'new' version of Candy LandĬan't believe how much still love this game, especially when I get to play it with my daughter and granddaughter. this is just not my style, seems like a whole new game. My daughter likes the game, but for me, I'd rather return it and pay more than double for the original game. the game seems significantly smaller, even the squares you land on are half the size for no reason. that's it! I remembered losing turns, getting sent backwards, there's still the bridges that move you to different spots on the board. The spinner includes just a few options including 4 'candy' squares, land on that and jump to the corrisponding candy square, and things like 2 purple squares, one yellow square, 2 blue square. I bought this to play with my 3 year old, I remembered playing Candy Land as a kid THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THAT GAME! We played for 5 minutes max, there's no more cards just a spinner, Just spin 5 times and you're at the finish line. My daughter loves monopoly better than this Includes gameboard, 4 movers, 44 cards, and instructions. It's a deliciously fun game for preschoolers!
